BIOGRAPHY

Charbel Atallah obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2019, working on developing novel ceramic membranes to treat oily wastewater. Since then, he has been a part-time professor at the university.

In 2020 he also joined the Water Management group at CanmetMINING, Natural Resources Canada as a postdoctoral researcher. There, he has been working on developing electrochemical and membrane-based processes for effective mine water treatment and for recovering critical minerals such as lithium under the Government of Canada’s Critical Minerals Research, Development and Demonstration Program.
